Summary: Project Lead the Way agrees to the following:
• Support and collaborate closely with our teachers while they complete the curriculum training and obtaining national certification in Stem organization.
• Provide curriculum development services and professional development based on curriculum alignment to Project Lead the Way curriculum with effectively proven educational strategies to support the Pre-Engineering Program objectives at both Mount Pleasant High School and Providence Career and Technical Academy, and support the P-TECH Information Technology objectives at Providence Career and Technical Academy, the Bio-Technology program at William B. Cooley High School and Computer Science initiatives at Del Sesto Middle School.
• .
• Provide yearly annual memberships to Project Lead the Way to support both the curriculum and teacher training at both Mount Pleasant High and Providence Career and Technical Academy.
• Provide instructional and curriculum support, concurrent with providing mentorship to Pre-Engineering teachers at Mount Pleasant High School, Providence Career and Technical Academy and P-TECH.
• Provide a minimum of 20 hours of orientation and training for PTECH instructors.
• Provide a minimum of 60 hours of training for the Pre-Engineering instructors at Mount Pleasant High School.
• Provide guided practice in the classroom and formative feedback to teachers in efforts to prepare students to be motivated participants of the program and confident to pass required test for certification.
• Provide list of instructional supplies and materials needed for curriculum to be implemented in the Pre-Engineering Program at Mount Pleasant High School and Providence Career and Technical Academy and the P-TECH Information Technology program.
Funding: Carl D. Perkins V, RIDE CTE Categorical, PLTW Verizon Grant, and RIDE CTE Innovation and Equity Grant
